The Last Day

The last day of school.   It's what every kid dreams of.   No more school!

We had such a great time on the last day of school this year.   It was a busy and sun filled day.  First, Eli graduated from his preschool program at Creative Castle.

Here he is with his teacher Miss Debbie.   Eli loved his little preschool and learned so much.  He will miss having "castle time" and playing with his friend, Matisse.

The boys got out of school at 11:00 so they were able to come to Eli's preschool to watch his graduation.

Eli didn't quite understand that he would get a certificate and Miss Debbie had to call him over several times before he came over to her and took his certificate.   After he got it, he was so proud.   He carried it around with him all day.

After the ceremony, it was off to the big "After School Party" at the pool.

This picture just makes me laugh.   The little details.   Here is Gabe eating his pizza.   He swam and played with his buddies so much that he didn't eat so when I finally made him get out of the pool, he was starving.  He couldn't even put down his pizza to take this picture.   And, Grace.  See that purple skirt?   Well, it's not a purple skirt.  It's actually her shirt.  She refused to wear her swim suit and kept taking it off.  So, I put three different diapers on her and she refused to wear any of them.  You just can't walk around naked at the pool for pete's sake so, I put her shirt on her for a skirt and she at least kept this on!   With one shoe no less.

And, Owen.   In this picture he is happy but, he wasn't so happy the entire time.  There was a cannon ball tragedy.  There was a cannon ball contest and Owen and Gabe entered.   After it was over he came over to me in tears.   He had tried to do a cannon ball but, it didn't quite work out like planned and he received a score of 1.   He was devastated.   He just couldn't get over it.   After about an hour of crying and sulking they announced over the loud speaker that there would be a belly flop contest.   He ran over there and was the first in line.   He had to redeem himself.   In the pool he went.   His score.   A 4 and a 5.   Yea, Owen.   Now he was happy.    He even added up these two and told me that he had gotten a 9.   He was very proud of himself.  No more sulking!

It was just a great way to start out the summer!

  1. Oh what a fun summer so far! I'm so sorry for the damper that was recently put in the middle of it! We're praying for Amaya and the whole family here. God is good all the time, all the time, He is good. Just keep singing it, even when you don't understand it. Love you!
